Such a lovely intimate atmosphere and INCREDIBLE food. The scallops were a definite favourite, but also the hospital cabbage was amazing. Highly recommend, wish we lived closer so we could visit more often!

My wife and I had a fantastic meal here for lunch recently! If you love seafood, you definitely need to come here. We treated ourselves to the crab, prawns, squid, octopus and scallops and were not disappointed. Everything was super tasty and cooked well. The service was very good and friendly, it’s nice to still be able to visit family run restaurants. I’ve read some of the negative reviews and i’m sure small independent places have off days but complaining about portion sizes, prices etc when you know beforehand, is poor form. This is a great restaurant, thoroughly deserving of its mention in the Michelin Guide! We will be back and already recommended it to friends!

Fantastic spot for seafood. The menu is fresh, creative, and full of flavor. The atmosphere is relaxed yet stylish, and the staff are welcoming and attentive. It’s the kind of place you’ll want to return to again and again.

We had a fantastic birthday-treat lunch. The food was all excellent (except the mac & cheese which was underwhelming) especially the plaice, lobster & king prawns. We were a group and had most of the menu options between us to share - all dishes (except mac & cheese) were really delicious. Would highly recommend the food! Service was friendly and helpful. Seating is casual and more ‘cafe’ style - bench seating was uncomfortable for our 6’3’’ teenager (no room for his legs) but we just switched ourselves around. Would highly recommend the Lazy Lobster. Pity it’s not closer to home…

Very delicious food! A really nice cozy restaurant. Food is generally served as small tapas style plate sizes, meaning you get to choose a lot of different items from the fish based menu. I can definitely recommend the seared tuna and extremely large prawns, although to be honest everything was just superb. Best to book if you want to visit, and if you go around 6ish there's likely to be parking in the free car park opposite.

The food is absolutely exceptional and the service was also great. We went for one if everything on the menu and not one bit of it disappointed. I eat a lot of seafood and I can say with confidence how hard it is to get Octopus absolutely spot on and my plate of it was near perfection. Lovely char on the outside but soft and great texture throughout. Thank you team for a memorable birthday meal. I'll be back, with many more guests. My only tiny observation. Please get a bigger premises, you will need it if you carry on like that.

Beautiful food (not including dessert which was absolutely not worth £7.50. It was teeny). Atmosphere was great, the restaurant is lovely and quirky. Although the toilet was a bit grim and in need of a clean. Service was really hit and miss unfortunately. Whilst the restaurant is small, with not many tables to serve, the two waiters seemed to be really struggling to keep up. We had to repeat orders as things were made quite complicated by the waiter. Prices were quite high for the portion sizes, but this is usually the case with small plates/sea food in the UK!

Fantastically fresh seafood, really tasty with a nice spicy flavour to some of the dishes, Friendly and welcoming hospitality. Would have stayed longer but didn’t book rooms locally- will definitely do that next time. Didn’t have time to take more of a selection of photos, we were too busy eating!
